剧情：
一次偶然中，四海为家的流浪汉比尔（詹姆斯·贝鲁什 James Belushi 饰）遇见了孤苦伶仃流落街头的九岁女孩苏（Alisan Porter 饰），比尔灵机一动收留的苏，和她组成了“搭档”，靠着在街头招摇撞骗勉强糊口。一天，女律师格蕾（凯莉·林奇 Kelly Lynch 饰）成了比尔和苏的下一个目标。 让比尔感到吃惊的是，格蕾是一个真正的“好人”，她不仅打心眼儿里同情苏的境遇，甚至将他们领回了家好生招待。一番激烈的思想斗争之后，比尔认定格蕾才是苏最好的“归宿”，渐渐长大的女孩急需一个温暖的家庭和稳定的监护人，然而，对于自己目前的处境，人小鬼大的苏却有着和比尔完全不同的打算。
